--
Official Statement: For Immediate Release
Friday, November 12, Joliet — Warehouse Workers for Justice (WWJ) is pleased to announce that we have formally recognized the Chicago NewsGuild, TNG-CWA Local 34071 as the union representing WWJ staff. “We believe that all workers have the right to unionize and bargain collectively, starting with our own employees,” said Roberto Clack, WWJ Executive Director. “As a former CWA/Newsguild member myself, I am proud of our team for taking this step to unionize and I am excited to begin negotiations on our staff union contract, which will strengthen the voice of our workers and further enable us to provide our team with the best working conditions in the industry. We see this as another important step forward in advancing the fight for good, living-wage jobs for warehouse workers throughout the massive Chicagoland warehousing industry.”
